About the series

I use a varied palette of materials, with the absolute highlight being the sand sourced from the vast South African desert. During my exploration of this landscape, my eyes were immediately drawn to the striking colors in the surroundings. The earth underneath my feet had a deep, red color thanks to the richly pigmented sand. This was simply breathtaking and immediately invoked inspiration in me.

The series represents my strong wish to capture how people and nature come together. Each painting tells a story that takes the viewer on a journey through the captivating landscapes of South Africa and the emotions they evoke. The variety of materials used adds another dimension to my work, and the inclusion of the sand as an essential element enhances nature's role in my art.

I hope that my series of paintings not only provides visual pleasure, but also invites viewers to feel the same emotions I experienced during my journey in this beautiful country.
