About Jasmyn
Amsterdam-based artist Jasmyn - @Buckspaintings - aims to bring stories to life and relive experiences through her abstract paintings. Her work is distinguished by earthy textures, vibrant colors, and surprising materials.
Jasmyn draws most of her inspiration from personal experiences, such as traveling the world, discovering new cultures, and exploring diverse natural environments. Many of her pieces incorporate elements like stones, rocks, sand, and colours she encounters along the way. Whether it's walking through a vibrant desert or experiencing pure serenity during a stay abroad, once she gets a creative idea, she wants to relive that moment once she gets back and sits in front of a canvas
In addition to her own experiences, Jasmyn also incorporates the stories of others into her paintings. For example, she might use sand from a couple's wedding location or textures to represent the different countries of a couple with diverse nationalities. For Jasmyn, it's about capturing and reliving stories on canvas.

Styles
Over the years, Jasmyn has improved her techniques and developed two different styles. Her structured paintings could bring to mind impressive mountains, rocks, and expansive landscapes. Most of the time she incorporates materials like sand of rocks from different countries to create an unique visualisation.
Her paintings created using a pouring technique reflects on the movement of the sea and its currents, or suggesting the presence of fire. Special materials like silicons, water or the use of fire, creates a unique look.
